Soho (W1) Built circa 1680, and said to be so called from Mr. Richard Frith, the builder. (Hatton's New View of London, p. 31) Here many famous men have found homes, including Edmund Kean, Macready, and Sir Samuel Romilly. Here Mrs. Inchbald wrote her charming novel The Simple Story.
