A review of Channel 5 Broadcasting Ltd by Indignant mum written on Tuesday 6th of January 2009
I was extremely upset by this programme as RAF Kandahar was being portrayed as a happy Happening place to be, not really dangerous and a great place"to meet people".I feel for the mothers of the troops who died or were injured during the operation of the last few weeks(Sond Chara). It is insensitive to show such a programme when the bodies of these troops have still to be repatriated and yet you are making it look like a jolly holiday camp.Focusing on that daft girl out for her morning run and then sunbathing reminded me of the rubbish newspapers which still show page 3 models and wouldn't know a serious piece of journalism if it smacked it on the face. My son is over there and not having a glorious time. To be taken seriously you will need to do much better. .
