"The place felt like home"

A review of Murray Arms by John Egan written on Tuesday 2nd of December 2008

Ten years ago I did a six-month working holiday gig in London. I lived in a flat just a block from the Murray Arms, so naturally it became my local. I always felt welcomed by the proprietor—

I forget her name but she was a lovely woman from one of the west counties in Ireland—

and I met a lot of really cool people there. Fun place to watch football matches, as well. I’m sad to hear that the neighborhood has deteriorated. I have a lot of fond memories of that part of the city, and of the Murray Arms.
