"Cheap price, low value"

I have been to the Chinese Chef many times over the years, but not for a year or two. I used to sing its praises but was sorely disappointed on my return this week.

The service was courteous enough but the food was not replenished quickly enough for a buffet and when it arrived it was undercooked and greasey. Maybe it was an off night, but I ve been there when it was a lot busier and the food was copious, well cooked and hot. The management seemed to have changed and, for me, standards seem to have slipped.

I used to visit whenever I was in town, I would pass similar venues to go to the Chinese Chef. Now I will probably pull over and try them! The end of an era, sadly. .
