A review of W H Wellbeloved by Bronsoir written on Sunday 5th of October 2008
After living in Lewisham for three years I have only now stumbled on this amazing shop. It's a butcher, established in 1829, with a window of mouthwatering freshly baked pies. Their steak pie, with perfect golden pastry and big chunks of super tender meat was 10 out of 10 and a steal at £1.50. Even better is four pies for a fiver!
I think vegetarians may be out of luck, though they do have free range eggs at a decent price. Haven't tried the meat but will be back again for the pies!
