A review of Stavrou Hotels (Queens Hotel) by Linde Bachmann written on Monday 4th of August 2008
The Queens Hotel (Stavrou Hotels) which looks very attractive from the outside (even illuminated at night) and located in a lovely neighborhood not too far from the center of London could be a wonderful place to stay. Unfortunately, we found the inside of our accommodation (4-bed-room at the top) very poorly maintained. In short: simply dirty! The curtains were black with dust, ripped and torn, the bathroom unclean as can be (hairs on the floor, vent thickly covered with dust, toothpaste on the wall, stained floor, uncleaned toilet and amenities not working properly. Although there were fresh sheets on the beds, their covers seemed as uncleaned as the rest of the room. Holes in the walls and loose tapestry confirmed the impression of extreme lack of maintenance. We were glad to only spend our nights there, beeing outside for sightseeing until late. Breakfast was allright, and all the staff friendly.
