When you start having problems at work, where do you go and who do you turn to?

Luckily in my last job I was a GMB member and carried on with my membership when I started my new job because GMB represents people wherever they work. Everything was ok for a while until a new manager came in. He had no idea of how to manage or how to speak to his staff without shouting and bullying them. He tried to cut pay, change working days without notice, tore up our contracts and tried to issue new ones and thought that employment law applied to everyone but us!!

I made contact with my Union GMB and they came to see me. My colleagues also joined as they agreed we needed help.

With the help of the GMB officer who took up our case all the way to Director level, all our issues were resolved and the manager was the one who had his contract torn up as he had caused so many problems for all of us.

Don't suffer alone. I cannot rate this Union highly enough. Thank you GMB..
