A review of Haweli Restaurant by Gerorge written on Friday 23rd of May 2008
Haveli in Ealing is a surprisingly nice place to eat, the service was good
Unfortunately what let it down was the cheapness of the place. We ordered poppadums, these arrived very quickly and we began eating, quite disgustingly we found a hair in the food and promptly complained, the waiters brought a replacement for this. That is all fine but on the menu these are listed at 50p we were charged £2 for these in the bill, how cheap of them. Its not the 50p it’s the fact that they were so petty as to have to overcharge us to recompensate themselves for their own health and hygiene problem.
The food was mostly bland, and the rogan josh I ordered was of poor quality. Portions were ample.
Overall décor was good and the place was cleanly kept
I would warn others to check their bill thoroughly before paying, if they hadnt tried to rip us off then I may well have tipped them. Poor show
