A review of N M E by Ben glavin written on Sunday 18th of May 2008
Attempting to jump-start a solo career after her stint in a band Jett was turned down by twenty-three record labels as she shopped around the demo tape to "I Love Rock 'N Roll." She finally cut the song for tiny Boardwalk Records, but that label's execs weren't sure that Jett's riff-rocker was a hit -- she was able to buy the radio rights to the track for $2,500. Today, Jett is a girl-rock icon and the song is worth nearly $20 million.
Walking through the borroughs of chiswick with summer breeze and mild heat whiskin round the corners of cobbled streets, there is distinct air of beautifull sounds coming from my i pod were im listening to the new babyshambles album and its that sweet moment of history were you know this record is going to keep this young talent around for many a while leaving people dwelling in the pure talents of a libertarian.
