A review of The Robin Hood by Violet King written on Wednesday 23rd of April 2008
In the 1960s my husband and I used to go to the Robin Hood for dinner with friends and I loved the liver pate. I asked if I could have the recipe and the chef came out and said NO!....it was HIS personal recipe. O.K. I had to accept that.
A few occasions later we went and he came out of the kitchen and put a slip of paper under my plate. He said he was leaving that night, and I could have the recipe!!
I had to look this place up becasue I have made that liver pate for tears ever since then, and I have just made some today....delicious! As was all their food.
We live in Spain now....long way to come, but if I am in the are again I will pop in, even though he has gone, becasue the place was really the best place in the area for good food.
