A review of Seven Sisters Market by Xavier written on Wednesday 9th of April 2008
You could walk past the covered market by Seven Sisters tube as it is quite a hidden.. There are shops in front, so just find the double doors and enter a tiny corner of Latin America. Closed on Sunday.
There are about fifty stalls selling a variety of things like South American beauty products and canned and dried food stuffs to a whole stall of cheese and sausages!!! It is a lively jumble filled with music and families. Mainly Columbian but there are stall holders from Peru, Ecuador and Brazil.
There are a few cafes serving Columbian food and coffee to keep anyone awake for days. It mainly just seem to be a social centre where people just chat with their friends.
A real gem but hard to find. Sadly it is under the threat of the developers hammer so pop along now. Better still add your voice to the plan to save it and drop an email objection to the planning department.
