A review of Bierodrome by Alan B Manchester written on Wednesday 15th of November 2006
On my first visit to our capital city,I stayed in a very plush hotel just off kingsway. On finding the price of £4.50 for a small bottle of Grolsch in the hotel bar somewhat extortionate, the short stroll down the Kingsway to the Bierodrome was a delight! I sat in the comfortable armchairs looking out at the city dwellers hurrying by,whilst I, after quaffing a large ice cold Amstell, sampled a fruit beer they have on draught,Strawbery Frulli !! It was like a strawberry milkshake, with an aftertaste of a bitter beer! I was not one who would contemplate sipping a fruit beer, but would suggest to all sceptics of mixing fruit and beer together to try this brew on your visit !! Sitting watching the world go by with a drink and well prepared table snacks such as olives with feta cheese was the perfect chill out remedy !! It's not plush or has ideas above its station, it,s not a pub with Olde Worlde charm,it's a place where the businessman can go for a quick lunch and drink or the student goes to meet his/her fellows or the tourist from up north, like myself can relax and enjoy a great pint in friendly surroundings
Every time i'm in London I make the Bierodrome my first port of call. After you've been,I hope you do too!!.
