A review of El Efes by Caroline dillon written on Sunday 18th of November 2007
I visited this restaurant for the first time last week and had a wonderful evening. Aparently, its been open for a number of years so I don't understand how I managed to miss this off my food map!
The resturant is a tucked away hidden jem at the back of the take away counter - ideal for intimate dinners and also suitable for large groups.
For a turkish restaurant I was surprised by the plushness of the decor - white starched linen table clothes, candels and leather chairs - very upmarket!
The vegetarian menu provides and excellent choice for the non meat eaters...and i would thoroughly recommend this restaurant and it certainly beats hands down the other middle eastern restaurants dotted around Bayswater....
