A review of Putney Tandoori by Marcus Cole written on Wednesday 14th of November 2007
Being a Putney Tandoori regular since the late 90s, I was very surprised to see this restaurant undergo a reformation. The old fashioned chairs have been replaced for a much more modern and classy type, arguably even more comfortable than the old seats. The decor has been completely transformed from a traditional indian curry house to a chic and stylish restaurant which appeals to both the younger and elder generation. The interior colour scheme is most pleasing to the eye and this restaurant has not lost all of its roots as it still retains its warm feeling with the choice of darker colours. All in all I believe that the Putney Tandoori management have made a good decision to refurbish and move on with the times. The outstanding quality of the service and food makes this restaurant a genuine contender for best restaurant in the Putney region. However, it is a shame to see that this restaurant rarely receives the credit it deserves..
