"Direct Electronics, just brilliant."

I love this shop and remember going there as far back as the 1970's as a young boy. A guy called Barry used to own it. I would spend hours in this shop looking at all the surplus electronic and mechanical gear. In those days, Electronic shops were very few and far between. in fact, the only competition they had then was Maplin Electronics who then were only a small company. Maplin only had the one store, and that was in Southend Essex so not a real threat.

Direct Electronics was then and i'm sure still is today a haven for TV repair engineers. You will be amazed at all the I.C's they stock.

Direct Electronics is a great shop and do miss going there as since moving out of the area some 20 years ago..
