"Mixed review"

On first glance, this hotel seems very nice for the price. It has a great location and is much cheaper than most hotels in the area, while it is a huge step up from hostels (no shared bathrooms, etc). The main problem with this hotel is that the staff was not at all helpful. I would go so far as to say that they were very UNhelpful.

On our first night around 7 we noticed that the toilet was not working, so we called reception and they said they would send someone right up. About 90 minutes later, someone arrived to look at it, and he left to get a part, saying he'd be back in 20 minutes. We decided to go out for awhile to give him space to fix it when he returned. We returned at almost 10:30 at night and reception told us he hadn't come back and he wouldn't return until the morning. We asked to switch rooms and they had no other rooms available. We asked what they could do for us and they said they could take 10 pounds off our bill, which is ridiculous for a room without a working bathroom.

We tried to find another hotel but at 11:00 everything was booked, so we had to stay there. The next morning we had to wait until 11:30 to talk to the manager because he arrives whenever he feels like it. It was a ridiculous experience but they think they can get away with it because it's London.

Overall, the hotel and location were nice but beware because the staff doesn't care about the customers..
