A review of Vietnamese Canteen-Huong Viet by TONY 'N' JOYCE written on Saturday 8th of September 2007
We have been going to this restaurant from the day it opened. Those were the days when you could walk in and get a table immediately. It is a victim of its own success I'm afraid and when the owners are no longer actually serving you then I'm afraid occasionally the service can be a bit 'impersonal'. But if you get a tired one, then joke and smile and they usually perk up and you get good service. The food is exceptional. i shouldn't tell you this because i don't want to have to wait any longer for a table than i do now. the answer is to BOOK. But i do agree about the toilet! Shame. Congratulations though to a refugee family who came here and through hard work made such a success and provided us with such a treat. And if you like this place try their daughter's place 'Namo - 178 Victoria Park Road E9 7HD'
