Hi Everyone,

I went to Springfield Hall as a twelve year old and belonged to the boys brigade that was situated there. It was 1952 and the minister at that time was named Douglas

Griffith.

The chapel was just inside the main entrance off Wandsworth Road where we held our Sunday services.

There was a lot of social functions held in the hall.

There was a good youth programme at the hall where you could play table tennis, shoot pool listen to music etc.

It was a very modern attitude that attracted many young people and not too "churchified" so that it kept you coming in for the Sunday evening services that Douglas Griffith made so interesting.

I moved to Canada 40 years ago and I know that there have been many changes there, but I wonder if anyone that still goes there remember those days.

A couple of names from those times were Pat Bradford,

Jim Beniston, Ernie Carroll, Roy Paul AND John Weston.

I would love to hear from anyone from those times.
