A review of Angus Steak House by Brian George written on Thursday 30th of August 2007
Angus Steak House, Leicester Square - I should have read the reviews - they say you learn the hard way!. We only really went as the children were hungry and there was a 30 minute wait for the Mexican opposite. We were ushered to a table for 5 - the 5th place being a baby high Chair. Neither my Mother-in-Law nor my 7 yearold could fit in so we asked to be moved to a proper table seating 5. After being provided with menus, I had to ask for our order to be taken 10 minutes after arrival. The basket of bread and butter then arrived (with no knives to spread the latter). Thank god for my mother saying that fingers were made before Knives - I did ask - twice. The half a roast Chicken was the size of a pigeon at £12.95, the steaks were not to order and yes medium etc is subjective but the Chef obviously only show the bull the frying pan. We comp[lained tot eh manager who assured us she would knock somehtig off the bill. The bill arrived, nothing knocked off and where was the manageress - finished her shift. Complained to the new Manager explained it all again and the fact that the kitchen staff were seen to use the gents in their nice new plastic gloves (fortunately seen after we had eaten). Our advice - dont go there better service and quality down the road at McDonalds. Only plus side, the child's meal was real chicken pieces. Date of visit Mon 27th Aug 2007..
