A review of Shampan by Gloria written on Wednesday 11th of October 2006
8 of us went and broke one wine glass... in the messy bill we managed to notice there was a £15 charge for it... when we said that we'd either buy the same glass to them (on a pound shop) or pay for it only if a proper receipt was issued to us, they agreed to take that off our bill.
The food was good, though, so few weeks later and i went again with my family, who had never tried Bangladeshi Cuisine before. When we ordered only starters… “to start with”, we were told we could only order main meals... the waiter told us in quite a rude way that it needed it to be at the same time.... not only that but when another waiter was about to finish writing our full order, the first waiter run to whisper something to his colleague, who repeated that all the food was to be ordered at once… Thanks goodness we had just done so!!
Food 8/10, service 3/10, value for money 6/10
