A review of The Cilicia by Jackiealex written on Monday 28th of May 2007
A very disappointing meal. It had looked (from outside) warm and inviting. Calamari starter was cold, done in a dreadful batter. Not much of it either...maybe a good thing.
Chicken stew with apricots very dry and appeared to have been microwaved from 3 days prior. Other main meal, small dumplings in white sauce was revoltingly sour. Broad bean salad was the only redeeming feature. Service slap dash and rushed, even though it wasn't particularly busy. A shame, when Turkish cuisine can be such a huge pleasure (especially in the East End)..
