My Great Grandfather established Painter's in 1905. After he retired my great uncle Jim took over and made it a very successful business. He opened several branches all around Enfield. All of their surviving four siblings were bakers in other areas. For many years after his son sold the business the shop remained Painters despite being run by various people.

Unfortunately the latest owners decided to re-name it The Green Room. It somehow just isn't the same.

Another piece of Enfield's history relegated to the past..
