"Why close our bank?"

The staff at Knighton HSBC found out yesterday that their branch is to close in May. An ageing rural population with pathetic mobile phone signal useless Internet and literally no public transport will be left in the lurch by HSBC. The staff at this branch are brilliant. They know their clients ,understand the needs of rural people and are wonderful ambassadors for HSBC This bank is more important to the community of Knighton than many bigger branches are to their clients. It is more than 20 miles to Newtown to the branch HSBC suggests we use. The misery this closure will cause has not been understood Ordinary people don't seem to matter to international companies .We have.relied on HSBC for many years you have let us , your employees and yourselves down badly.

I'm shocked and sad.
