A review of Catsafe by Russ L written on Saturday 19th of November 2016
We booked our cat in for a 3 day stay having previously visited the cattery to me the owner and check all seemed up to standard.
No obvious problems found, so we left our cat and went on our break.
We brought him home, all seemed ok, but unfortunately we had to be out the following day early morning early until evening.
Upon arriving home we noticed he hadn't eaten any food and seemed very quiet and poorly.
Dioreah and sickness developed and so we took him to the vets where some kind of infection/bug was diagnosed!
He was given a week of antibiotics which did not clear up infection so was given another course as well!
After almost a month he got him back to normal but he was very poorly indeed and didn't eat hardly a thing for several days!
Our cat is not a street cat and only has access to a good size back garden where other animals like cats and foxes can't get in.
Although we cannot say for sure where he picked this bug up, adding 2 + 2 is not difficult!
We contacted the owner by letter detailing our experience and sent a copy of the vets bill which came to £125, we did not get a response from the owner, not even an apology or show any concern for our cat and experience.
Needless to say we won't be going back, would I recommend this cattery? NO!.
