"Perfume spray defective"

I was absolutely dissapointed with a 100 ml Sisley perfume I received from my Mum a few years ago. I opened it only to find the perfume spray broken. I should have opened the perfume box immediately but. Can I please have my money back? It's an Eau du Soir.
