"BRING BACK TALBOTS QUALITY TO UK"

I shopped in Talbots for many years whilst they were in the UK. I was horrified when they closed their stores. However, I was not surprised. They initially opened in the most expensive areas - Regents Street and Kensington High Street. Talbots was not a shop to attract young women who wanted "throw away" cheap party dresses and therefore Talbots did not get the passing trade from Regents Street or Kensington High St. They should have chosen somewhere more in keeping with their quality clothing ie: Hampstead/Finchley/Dulwich - where they would have attracted women who wanted quality clothing - anyway, I was devasted when they closed. I have never bought on line but I do visit the Talbots store in Louisianna on my annual visit to the US. Such a pity they didn't have anyone to advise them when they opened in the UK. I'm still wearing Talbots I purchased in the 1980s..
