A review of Kaleidoscope Club Ltd by Chris Wesson written on Sunday 16th of November 2014
I believe that Kaleidoscope needs better direction- there is no serious effort to stop rude behaviour, so a few known difficult characters are allowed to deeply upset members time after time, year after year. The programme is ok but limited- various members have refused to continue organizing events because of rudeness and constant bickering over the meal bills, others have seen the pitfalls so haven't come forward. There is no vision and little interest in developing new initiatives or delegating jobs to members who show initiative, flair or want to contribute. Large amounts of money is being gathered for membership without any form of accounts! There is no suggestion of financial dishonesty, but without AGMs or any other form of general meetings, members have no mechanism for enquiry. Membership numbers are declining and I have left because of seeing no willingness to correct any of the above problems. I did raise these points a number of times. There are many really nice people in Kaleidoscope- they deserve better!
