Greater London House was established in the late 80's with a grant from the GLC to provide a base for voluntary bodies in very neglected Leytonstone, with support from Ken Livingstone, who possibly opened it.Original tenants included a fledgling Age Concern, the new WF Council for Voluntary Service and others,

CAB ran walk in sessions and later established a full branch..
