A review of Thames Magistrates' Court by Anonymous written on Tuesday 20th of May 2014
I am a volunteer court worker for the prisoners family and friends service, and in this courts defence,it is a very busy court, esecially first thing in the morning, they have people attending court for a veriety for reasons, you have all your usal barristers, soliciters, and legal teams wanting the attention from people behind the counter, you have ordinary joe soap, wanting there attention, plus people who have to attend court but cant be bothered to look at the court lists on the wall to see what court they need to be in,or where they need to be and their quing up to get the counter staffs attention, you have maybe 2-5 staff, but they all work vertually non stop at the front of the counter, and they cant all be at the back answering phones at the same time.plus at times they having to leave their post to go else where in the building, and still keep the paper work up to date for that day,or the next days court listings..
