A review of Edmonton Cemetery by Jayne Marsh written on Friday 7th of February 2014
I have been coming to visit Edmonton Cemetery for over 20 years. I have no relatives laid to rest there but as i have always loved the peace of cemeteries and live nearby, i was drawn to it. There is a strong sense of peace and warmth here and i feel i 'know' the occupants even talking to them as i read the inscriptions on their memorial stones. I have my favourite graves to visit also. I particularly feel drawn to the grave of a young lad of WW1 who died aged only 16 - C.A.O Collins where the inscription is 'And God was with the lad'. I will visit again very soon. The trees and surroundings are so tranquil, it is a lovely place to be..
