A review of Debenhams plc by DAGUERROTYPE written on Monday 16th of December 2013
I must have had a blank moment, but when my son needed new shoes for school and found ones he liked on Debenhams website we ordered on 2 Dec. Nothing came, he/ we were busy - Checked tracking on the website - something about waiting receipt by courier on 3 Dec. No notification by email/ sms nothing. Nothing - contacted customer service today by phone - a misnomer - not able to do anything I hadn't done - couldn't explain what had happened - mentioned courier was Hermes. A name I remember from earlier in the year when we ordered a dinner service - they threw the delivery over our side gate & smashed most of it. To cut a long story short - no one seemed to share my understanding that their attitude to problems was appalling - spoke to HQ - put through to Customer Resolution Team - another misnomer - they only managed to find that Hermes Couriers had recorded they had not found any one in on 5 Dec - not that they had tried to inform us at all!!.
AVOID THIS COMPANY - They have serious management issues!!!.
