As a teenager in the 70s, my mother used to shop at The Cookery, and still does to this day. Then it used to be run by Jeff's father. The meat is always fresh. Jeff and his staff are friendly and polite.

I live in Stratford as does my neighbour in the road adjacent, and she told me as a former resident of Stokenewington, she still buys her meat there too.

I've tried other butchers, but I keep coming back to The Cookery, there is always a wide selection of meats and poultry..
