A review of Wetherspoon by Jerry Pereira written on Sunday 30th of June 2013
Dear Weatherspoons,
The place is very clean and inviting, with scenic views of grass, trees and lakes.
We ordered beverages, a vegetarian burger meal and a potion of chips. While sitting at the table, waiting for the food, I had staff pushing past me, using their rear to make room on my side. There were nobody at the other tables around me, so why, I could not fathom out.
When the food came, my other half's food came with cutlery and a napkin. Mine came with nothing. I thought they would bring a second set with napkin straight away, but no. I proceeded to eat my food with my fingers as I did not want to cause a fuss.
After a while I thought I would decide to ask for fork and then the napkin.
I explained to the head waitress of my disappointment. She was shocked that I had decided to say something.
This has left quite a sour taste in my mouth for Weatherspoons, and that I cannot see myself using those premises again. I hope other Weatherspoons will look at their services with a bit more pride and not the disregard that I had experienced.
