A review of New ID Studios by Rachael Peel written on Saturday 27th of October 2012
I had the Deluxe version of the makeover at New ID and most of it was really impressive. The website has all the information you need and the booking process is pretty easy. There is a postage charge for the vouchers though. The makeover I had started at 10am with a welcome and consultation with a girl that was very friendly and was happy and able to answer all of my questions. There was then a wait of around twenty minutes before I go to get my hair washed, cut and dried. The style I chose, I took along a picture of how I wanted it and they got it pretty much spot on so that was wonderful. There was then a wait of around half an hour before there was somebody available to do my makeup, I found that quite irritating. The makeup however was great, bit on the heavy side but I understood that was for the benefit of the camera and not of the mirror. The next wait was only ten minutes before the studio was free. I had a great shot, I felt very beautiful and very confident with my hair and makeup and the outfits that I took with me. I took three and had photos taken in all of them. Then the bad bit, a one hour wait to see them with not a lot to do other than watch others having hair and makeup done which is not much fun but it was what it was. Then private viewing session in a very small room the kid that showed me the shots was clearly on commission and a bit of a pushy person but that was fine, I was not swayed off my budget. I got the prints six weeks later via the post and they are very impressive. I had a good time, shots are pricy and the wait for the prints could be improved. .
