"Stress v fatigue !"

I have just stumbled across this facility and considered that it would be a shame not to use it as an opportunity to share with 'whoever, my memorable experience of Dr Okoro.

About a year ago,I needed a little time and space away from things,(work in particular) so that I could figure some things out. I was in a bit of a state!I made an appointment to see a doctor and was told that my appointment would be with a Dr Okoro. This was to be our one and only encounter (i think).

After off loading to the good Dr and, after making my requests known, we entered into a increasingly heated but brief debate about what terminology, if any, should be entered on the possible sick certificate. To cut a long story short, the Dr said I was stressed but I maintain that I was 'burnt out'. Of course, the Dr won the arguement.

Just want to say thank you for allowing me to have the (very short!)time that i needed from work/life to start putting things together. Things are still a bit 'blahh' but I'll survive!I also want to say thanks for the resistance to my theory of fatigue as a medical condition as that also made me think about where i was and in a strange way, helped me address other issues.

I walked out of the office with a half smile (not for the stingey week or so sick cert) because I've never been challenged by a Dr before and I doubt he anticipated my reactions.

Now, each time I make an appointment, I pray that I'm not matched with Dr Okoro because I'm sure he'll give me yet another tough time. It hasn't happened yet though, so lets wait and see!

PS: If fatigue isn't a medical condition in certain contexts, then it should be!
