A review of Stanley House Hotel by Maria written on Friday 23rd of March 2007
The hotel is good but not as the web site said.
Friendly service is not true. The hotel's staff is very rought, just the housekeeper is good and nice.
The breakfast is ok. Toasts with jam, cereal, coffee and milk, orange juice and English Breakfast. You can order another round if your still are hungry.
The location is the best part. It's close to everywhere.
We could walk all London from that location. It was great.
Also, the web said it offers a Bar service; it's not true.
And the room, at least our room, was veryyyyyyyy small (double in suite) and had no good decoration, least modern. The wall were bad and when the neighbors upstairs walked, we listened every step late at night.
I just wanna say the truth.
Anyway, it's not bad at all and if you are looking for having a good time in London and kind of cheap, it could be one of the best options.
In fact, you are all day long outside, so you need the hotel at night and in the morning.
The bathroom is tiny, tiny. But the water had good temperature. You can enjoy your bath.
If you decide choose this hotel, good luck... and enjoy London, it's a great city to stay.
