When I was in attendance at the school it was known as an open air school. for children of a delicate nature ?. The class rooms were built on stilts, each class room was detatched from each other and there were no windows just thick canvas curtains that were pulled across if it got to cold.

The Headmaster was Mr Voyle, most teachers names escape me, but our woodwork master was Mr hardy, in the nicer weather he used to take us for gardening lessons in the extensive garden area.

I had a great time at this school, gave me good grounding and a sense of responsibility. .
