"Kitchen can not cope!!"

I booked our regular evening out with friends,we are 10 adults who dine together monthly. One of our favourite venues was the Harlow Gatekeeper Miller and Carter. We arrived to be told that we would be on two separate tables, a table of four and another of six. When I asked why I was told that the kitchen can not cope with parties larger than eight. I asked if the tables could be pushed together as in our past visits, the managers answer was no. Perhaps we should have then left but we did continue with our meal. The relaxing meal out with friends was completely spoilt. We did try moving from table to table but it was just not on. We will not be returning. .
