Since this charming old pub was bought out and since run under private ownership, the difference is remarkable. Great homemade pub grub using exceptional suppliers, including the award winning butcher across the road, and a stylish face lift which has made a huge difference to the type of people that go there. It's got a great vibe now, an iconic pub in every sense which deserves its new found popularity.

We sat outside in their new seating area and had brunch. The staff were friendly and efficient, the place was clean and the cooked breakfast was delicious.

This is our new favourite local haunt. Long may it continue.
