"New ID gave me a new lease of life"

I decided to go and get a make over after my wonderful husband of 15 years left me for a woman half my age and younger than my daughter. I had a very bad year and was feeling very sorry for myself and was really quite depressed. A very good friend of mine came over to see me with a pair of vouchers for New ID and told me that my life was about to change.

We had a wonderful evening with a bottle of wine choosing outfits from my wardrobe to wear on the day and it gave me the incentive to have a good clear out as well.

I picked four outfits and we had a little mock up of the day to make us feel more confident.

The big day arrived and we got to the studio, mainly excited but a little apprehensive and were given a lovely welcome by the receptionist who was very helpful and showed us to a seat where we had a welcome consultation and a glass of Bucks Fizz that went straight to my head!

We basically told them what sort of look we were after and had a chat about hair and make up and then we went off for our facials and had our nails done, both of which were very relaxing and very pleasant.

After that we went into hair and both had really super hair cuts, Jean had her hair coloured, I had not long done mine so I went just for the cut and style.

Then we went on into make up and had such a giggle, I though that I they had put way too much makeup on me, I am not used to wearing a lot of makeup but it looked spectacular in the pictures.

I had to have another glass of Bucks Fizz before the shoot because I went all wobbly but once we were in there it was great. I felt really silly for the first couple of shots but after that I took to it like a duck to water and felt so confident afterwards it was amazing.

We went out for lunch, looking quite the ladies about town, and then came back to choose our pictures. I cant describe just how much it did for my ego to see me looking so wonderful and it was really hard to choose which shots to have so in the end I splashed out and brought them all on a CD.

I have never looked back since that day, we now have a night a week where we get together and really dress up and go dancing and I have even started to date again. New ID really gave me the lift I needed and has changed my life forever!
