"Need the word water in Iraqui language"

cannot translate the word waterinto Iraqui language or Kurdistan language please need your help. Am in a hospital bed my neighbour is from Iraq and she keeps saying kia apparently that is the word for water ,that is if I quess it right. She keeps saying that word or something that sound like it Be so kind to send me the answer Maybe she is just crying ouch or something simular, But I want to help her het what she needs..
