A review of Hogarth Tutors by Andrew hayman written on Wednesday 15th of December 2010
Colchester, Essex, UK.
15 December 2010,
I was a 14 year old youth when I attended what was then Queens Gate Place Tutors from February to December 1960. It was then owned and managed by a retired naval officer, Commander Crawfurd. There were about 14 pupils attending sessions with about 7 tutors: Mr Atkinson, Mr Bradley, Mlle de Revel, Mrs Kirby, Mr Kovak, Mrs Bonham and Mr Shell.
I remember one lady student, a 14 year old brunette called Diana Hayman who was hoping to go to ballet school. I wonder what became of her.
I met Arthur Crawfurd, the son of the director, we have been in regular contact since apart from the 7 years he spent abroad working in Hong Kong.
