A review of Oxfam by Nareen Divani written on Wednesday 8th of December 2010
For the friendliest bunch of volunteers in ANY charity shop, you simply have to visit my (work) local one!
I wish my local (home) charity (Barnardos) was this friendly. I have to remind myself every now & then that these wonderful people are not paid to be so helpful and nice - they simply just are.
But the best thing about this shop is the amazing range of accessories!
They have just about every style of handbag going, even the odd designer one. I got a pretty 60's Dior for only £25! Now where am I ever going to be able to find something like that again?
A wall of shoes to suit every taste, though too many in every size except mine.
And belts to die for.
The rest of the office keep asking me where I get my stuff from, and I'm proud to point them in Drury Lane's direction (actually right around the corner!) for a lunch-time's browsing.
