A review of Bistro Francais On The Hill by Longari Marco written on Saturday 24th of February 2007
Three of us went there for desserts and coffee. After waiting 5 minutes for someone to notice us and offer us seating, we waited forever for someone to note our order. The Cheesecake was clearly bought from perhaps a budget supermarket - it wasn't even cheesecake, but perhaps some kind of lemony thick mousse. The crepes were limp and drowning in amaretto - add this to the bitter chocolate, and the whole thing tasted like medicine. The blueberry muffins were tiny, cold, and very ordinary. Having said that, the main courses other customers ordered looked generous and well prepared. Nice view if you get seats towards the rear. Probably won't go again..
