A review of The Sun Tavern by Margaret written on Sunday 7th of November 2010
In an attempt to get a snack before the theatre matinee we passed and dismissed several venues because we were either not attracted by the food offered or they were just too busy. We happened across The Sun Tavern and were met with a friendly welcome. We liked the choice of toasted sandwiches and couldn't believe the generous portions which arrived. Three slices of toast full of tasty filling. Not only that, there was a small portion of chips and coleslaw. All for £4.95. We got friendly service and they serve a good pint of beer. We were even able to watch half of the Bolton v Spurs game before we had to get off to the theatre. A great value pub with no pretensions of grandeur..
