"A lunch NOT to remember"

Just had lunch in the St.John's wood high street branch and what a debacle !!! Although there were only four tables occupied, no more than ten people in total, the service was excrucatingly slow. My friend and I arrived at 12.30 chose a main course and a dessert off the set lunch menu. Main course took ages to arrive, as for the dessert it got totally forgotten and when we enquired as to its whereabouts, were told that unfortunately there were only two of them hence the slow service. We asked what the other chap was doing since all he seems to be doing is stand idle, and we informed that he was the manager and had other duties to attend to!!! The desserts finally arrived, and I am quite sure that waffle is what we got plenty of verbally, but in fact pancakes (and cold to boot) were on the plates. We left are 2.30. So much for an enjoyable lunch!! We will never eat Chez Gerard again..
