A review of Martins Place by Dave Robins written on Tuesday 20th of February 2007
There was a time when the proprietor of Martin's Place used to entertain his customers with his Basil Fawlty impressions;the floor show was almost as good as the food.Unfortunately Mr Martin now become too Grand and Important for his own good;you're now more likely to get a patronising lecture on how you aren't good enough to be in his restaurant.Other friends of mine have turned up only to find he'd lost their booking or had their complaints ignored about the loudness of the background music. The food is still as good as ever but there are other restaurants where the welcome is rather warmer..
