A review of Spice Cottage Indian Restaurant by Anonymous written on Saturday 18th of September 2010
At Spice Cottage, you can expect a warm, friendly welcome from the manager and excellent knowledge on all dishes on the menu. We went as a group of foodies and learnt more about Indian cuisine in 5 minutes than in all 6 years of eating Indian in London! Having just moved into the local area, we were made to feel special all evening, and we even received a complimentary dessert (mango and coconut ice-cream-delicious!) with a candle as it was my brother's birthday. Everyone agreed the quality of the starters and main dishes were better than any other Indian meal previously had, and collectively we have had many nights out at curry houses before. We were wisely advised on what to order so not too have too much, and took a doggy bag home of the little that remained as it was too good to leave. The bill was very reasonable at £20 a head, including starters, poppadoms, mains, sides and drinks. We are extremely pleased we have this little gem round the corner from us, and will most definitely be back as a couple and as a family.
