A review of The Vine Inn by Lorna Harrison written on Sunday 5th of September 2010
I have had many visits to the Vine with some great meals. Today was poor, Beef was tough and roast potatoes still had the skin on!!. Pie was ok, little filling. Mash potatoe was poor as all the skin was left on (Jacket potato mashed). I spoke to the waitress and only picked up that the mash potatoe was a jacket mashed and she said "the food is brought in a pre packed", I told her that the mash had never been like that before and she replied "it has always been pre pack and been like that". Not a happy customer who would eat her every 2 weeks and spend between £50 to £100 per visit!!.
