"DISAGREE WITH 'OLD-FASHIONED' TERM"

I am writing to disagree with the lady who reviewed James Selby (JS) negatively because she spent 10 mins getting a refund! Until anyone methodically works through one way of giving refunds against another M.O (in this case JS) then one is NOT IN ANY POSITION to make a bona fide claim of one way being any better or worse then another. If the lady in question had bothered to spend 5 mins finding out if her choice of perfume was infact the right choice or not then, she wouldn't have had to spend 10 mins going through a process NONE OF US ENJOY in ANY shop REGARDLESS of how "modern" or 'not quite up to MY(questionable)LEVEL of modernity ANY shop is..... Its a refund process that OBVIOUSLY works for James Selby. The very fact that this company are STILL doing good enough business to have not been squeezed out by the newer bigger flashier shops speaks VOLUMES. They are OBVIOUSLY making a 'good enough' profit to see off competition. Can the MODERN day Debenhams and Fenwicks et al SAY THE SAME????? Would she have preferred spending 10 mins waiting for the refund person to clear by MODERN in-house phone, what JS staff CLEARED in seconds flat with a note because a) the mod person being called to the phone was at lunch b) too busy to pick up c) on another call...

what springs to mind is this - "she who doesn't have a brain, has legs"

I think its FANTASTIC that we have a department store in an area which will never again see such a shop when it finally closes (due I dare say, to short sighted people like the lady in question). Certainly not in MY lifetime! So DO please THINK before you speak and if you can't be positive then do PLEASE TRY TO THINK as little as possible! You're hurting yourself AND ME when you do!
